Nepal is best known for its mountains. The Himalayas offer some of the best trekking opportunities in the world, including treks to the world-famous Everest Base Camp. Nepal is India’s neighbour and although its culture has many similarities to India, it also has many differences. It is a good idea to spend some time in the capital Kathmandu. There are many interesting attractions in Kathmandu, including major Buddhist temples. The Boudhanath and the Swayambhunath temples both belong to the most important Buddhist destinations in South Asia.
