Kunming, “The City of Eternal Spring,” is the capital of the province of Yunnan. The city is rather old. In fact, it is over 2400 years and has special historical significance in that it was once the gateway to the famous Silk Road. Kunming serves as the destination for its snowballing tourism with so many places of interest spread all around the city. Kunming is also well known for its beautiful and peculiar, breathtaking and unique natural landscape. Among these dramatic sites, Yunnan Stone Forest , which is about 120 kilometers (75 miles) from Kunming city is known best by the tourists. These magnificent stone masterpieces, various strange and steep intricate formations, and countless labyrinthine vistas make Stone Forest (Shi Lin in Chinese) worthy of the fame as the 'First Wonder of the World'. And there goes a local saying: 'It is a waste of time without being in the Stone Forest while visiting Kunming.

• Day 2: Kunming - Yuanyang

  Breakfast at hotel & check out, drive to Yuanyang (about 6 hrs), on the way you may visit Xingmeng Village, the only are of settlement for the Mongolian ethnic population in Yunnan province and hosts approximately 1700 households. The villager are mainly the descendants of the Mongolian army who was deployed there by governments from Ming Dynasty and they now rely on growing agricultural produce of flue-cured tobacco, rice paddy and muskmelon for living. You can also visit some of its well-preserved ancestral temples to learn about the unique local cultural of the village. Upon arrival at Yuanyang, visit Qingkou Hani Ethnic Village with each of them boasting a unique feature, you’ll catch the perfect time to watch sunset, after dinner check in hotel..

• Day 3: Yuanyang

  In the early morning, you’ll drive to Duoyishu Village and enjoy the beautiful view of Duoyishu Rice Terrace Fields, especially when the sun appears above the eastern horizon and rice terraces change its color into golden, shining brilliantly. If the weather permits, you will see the scenery of the terraced fields from the top of the mountains to the bottom. They are all farmlands under the sunshine and cloud and mist. The landscapes is spectacular and harmonious. Later, you’ll will have a nice shoot in the spectacular Bada Hani Rice Terrace, and then visit local Hani people for generation inhabit with Mushroom-shaped Houses, fully appreciate the beauty of this region.

• Day 4: Yuanyang – Jianshui

  Breakfast at hotel & check out, you will head to Jianshui Country, about 3.5 hours’ driving. After arriving in Jianshui, you’ll pay a visit to Jianshui Ancient Town which is reputed as “Museum of Ancient Buildings and Residential Houses’ with a history of about 1200 years. Stroll along the old street and see kinds of old wells to witness how water pay an important role in making the famous Jianshui stinky Tofu. Reach Chaoyang Tower to see this imposing Ming edifice which is modeled on the Yellow Crane Town in Wuhan and Yueyang Tower in Hunan and bears more than a passing resemblance to Tian’anmen in Beijing. Later have a nice walk to Zhu Family Garden, a spacious 20,000-square-meter residential complex built in Qing Dynasty comprising ancestral buildings, family homes, ponds and
  
  lovely garden. After that visit Double Dragon Bridge which is a Seventeen-Arch Bridge with 148 meters long and 3 meters wide. It crosses above the injunction of Lu River and Tachong River which looks like two Chinese dragons, hence the name Shuanglong Bridge check in hotel for rest.

• Day 5: Jianshui - Kunming

  Breakfast at hotel & check out, transfer back to Kunming (about 4hrs), tour to Guandu Old Town, one of the cradles of the ancient Dian civilization and culture in Yunnan, is located in the southeast suburb of Kunming, far about 10km from downtown. Being a famous historic and cultural town, dated back to the Nanzhao Kingdom (738-937) in as early as the Tang Dynasty, Guandu Old Town had been a big market town and communication centre. Continue to visit Flower Market, retains the feel of a traditional Chinese market in every sense. You will find there is a wide array of knick-knacks, souvenirs, replica weapons, fish, turtles, rodents, and many other items on sale. Check in hotel.

• Day 6: Kunming – Kuala Lumpur

  Breakfast at hotel, tour to Green Lake Park, situated almost in the city center, is one of the most beautiful parks in Kunming city. Now the park is for daily leisure and playing with seagulls in winter for locals and travelers in Kunming. Later visit East & West Temple Tower, two ancient pagodas standing in the center of Kunming, built in the Tang Dynasty. Tour to Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Memorial Arch, it was built in the reign of Xuande in Ming Dynasty. It us 12 miles in height and 18 miles in breadth. And it was painted magnificently and decorated beautifully.
