Day 1:Arrive Mexico City
Upon arrival be picked up and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2:Mexico City – Teotihuacán – Mexico City
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up to visit Three Culture Square and Guadalupe shrine and continue to Teotihuacán (42 km from Mexico City). Teotihuacan, means the place where men become gods. These are among the most important pre-Hispanic ruins in the Americas due to their masterful urban layout, the monumental architecture and the strong religious and political influence that Teotihuacan held over other cities. Visit the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Return to Mexico City and overnight.
Day 3:México City – Cuernavaca – Taxco – México City
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Taxco with a stop in Cuernavaca, known as the forever spring city for its good climate all year. Continue to Taxco, one of Mexico’s most picturesque towns. Return to Mexico City and overnight.
Day 4:Mexico City – Oaxaca
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take flight to Oaxaca. Arrival at Oaxaca and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day at leisure in Oaxaca.
Day 5:Oaxaca – Monte Alban (Handcraft Tour) – Tuxtla Gutierrez (by Public Bus)
Breakfast at hotel. Today, visit Monte Alban Archaeological Site, the former Center of the Zapotec Empire. Continue to visit Arrazola village known for being Alebrijes producers.Continue to Cuilapam and visit the ex-Convent. Finally, visit Coyotepec famous handcraft producer village of black mud. (Tour finishes at 17:00hrs). Return to the hotel to pick up the luggage and transfer to bus station to take the public bus to Tuxtla. BUS SCHEDULE: ADO PLATINO 1st CLASS departure time 2030hrs (10.5 HOURS TRIP). Overnight on the public bus on route to Tuxtla Gutierrez.
Day 6:Tuxtla Gutiérrez – Sumidero Canyon – San Cristóbal de las Casas
Arrival at bus station around 0710hrs – 0800hrs. Tour to Sumidero Canyon starts at 12:00pm. Pick up at 09:00 at the bus station and continue to Chiapa de Corzo, this little town stands by the Grijalva River where we can explore the impressive Cañon del Sumidero (Sumidero Canyon), one of the nation’s most important natural attractions. Enjoy one hour boat trip in this Canyon. Continue to San Cristobal de las Casas and overnight.
Day 7:San Cristobal – San Juan Chamula – San Cristobal
Breakfast at hotel. Morning guided tour to visit San Juan Chamula, Zinacatan in San Cristobal where you’ll admire all the typical rites the Indians keep.
Day 8:San Cristóbal de las Casas – Agua Azul – Palenque
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer by road to Palenque. Stop at the Agua Azul waterfalls to admire their turquoise coloured waters. Continue to Palenque. Accommodation and night at hotel in Palenque.
Day 9:Palenque – Campeche
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the site of Palenque, where we find the most notable ruins of the Mayan culture, it was once a city ruled by priests who knew very well mathematics and astrology. Transfer to Campeche, arrival and transfer to the hotel and overnight.
Day 10:Campeche – Uxmal – Merida
Breakfast at hotel. Today, visit Uxmal, the real jewel of the classic Maya style and Kabah, the city known as the second greatest religious center of the Puuc style. Continue to Merida and overnight.
Day 11:Mérida – Chichen Itza – Cancun
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Chichén-Itzá, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, you will be transported to pre-Hispanic times. Visit the Pyramid of Kukulkan, one of the most iconic examples of Maya architecture of all time. Continue to Cancun and overnight.
Day 12:Cancun - Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to International Cancun airport to take flight home.
