Day 1:Arrive Mexico City
Arrival at Mexico City airport and transfer to hotel and check in.
Day 2:Mexico City – Teotihuacán – Mexico City
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up to visit 3 Culture Square and Guadalupe shrine and continue to Teotihuacán (42 km from Mexico City) among the most important pre-Hispanic ruins in the Americas due to their masterful urban layout, the monumental architecture and the strong religious and political influence that Teotihuacan held over other cities. Visit the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Return to Mexico City and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3:Mexico City – Diego y Frida tour – Mexico City
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to see what Passion of Life means, Visit of the Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum, which houses thousands of pre-Hispanic pieces collected by this artist. Short visit to the neighborhood of Coyoacán. View Blue House by Frida Kahlo.
Day 4:Mexico City - Guatemala City
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the airport to take a flight to Guatemala. Upon arrival, transfer to in Guatemala City and overnight.
Day 5:Guatemala – Chichicastenango – Atitlan Lake
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Guatemalan Highlands to Chichicastenango, a quiche Indian town that jealously keep their traditions, as they melt their pre-Hispanic and catholic rituals at the 400 years old church of Santo Tomas, built on the remains of a Mayan Temple. Here, market days, Thursdays and Sundays, acquire great meaning and smoky incense impregnates the atmosphere with mysticism and religiousity. Transfer to Panajachel, a village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan with its three volcanoes Atitlan, Tolimán and San Pedro protecting the lake. After the tour return to Lake Atitlan and overnight.
Day 6:Santiago Atitlan – Panajachel – Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast at the hotel. At indicated time, you will enjoy a morning boat trip to Santiago Atitlán. This village is located on the south part of Lake Atitlan, on the slopes of the Atitlan Volcano. On a very short walk, you will visit the church of Santiago Apostol and then visit the confraternity of Maximón. Transfer from Panajachel to Antigua Guatemala and overnight.
Day 7:Antigua Guatemala City
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to visit Antigua Guatemala America’s Colonial Monument, Antigua Guatemala, named so by the beauty and greatness of the colonial buildings. The town is protected by the surrounding eternal guards, the Volcanoes of Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Go over cobblestoned streets to visit the Plaza de Armas, Palace of the Captains, the Cathedral, churches, and monasteries. Continue visiting the Jade factory and the handicraft market. You will also visit nearby towns of San Antonio Aguascalientes and Ciudad Vieja.
Day 8:Antigua Guatemala – Airport – Flores – Tikal – Flores
Box breakfast will be delivered by the hotel. At 03:30 am, transfer to the airport to board flight to Flores. At arrival, visit the Archaeological Site of Tikal “Place of Voices”, surrounded by the tropical forest that has kept Tikal in its millennial dream. Visit the main Plaza and the Temple of the Great Jaguar, central acropolis, and more. After lunch (included – no drinks), transfer to the hotel and overnight.
Day 9:Flores - Rio Dulce or Mariscos
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a boat ride to RIO DULCE, where you will appreciate between tropical flora and an extend bird diversity. Then, visit El Fuerte of San Felipe, sailor’s refuge due to external pressure from Caribbean pirates. Arriving to LIVINGSTONE, walk through the Street filled with the Caribbean flavor of the Garifunas. Return to Rio Dulce or transfer to Mariscos and overnight.
Day 10:Mariscos or Rio Dulce – Quirigua – Copan
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to QUIRIGUA archeological Site (Guatemala), while crossing the road, you can appreciate bananas crops. Then, we arrive to El Florido border and headed to COPAN (Honduras), where Mayan Culture left an indelible imprint in one of the most fascinated settlements: funeral steles, petroglyphs staircase and amazing temples.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart from you hotel to Copán, Honduras. Arrive at one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Maya World: Copán, declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Enjoy a unique tour through Copan, this archaeological site has a special connection with Quirigua and covers the most impressive dynasty of the Mayan world the dynasty Yax Kuk Mo. Free time to take lunch in Copán village by your own. At the end of the tour return to your hotel and overnight.
Day 12:Copan - Santa Ana - Joya De Ceren - San Salvador
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning, departure from Copan to San Salvador. You will visit Santa Ana route and Joya de Ceren. Then you will be transferred to San Salvador.
Day 13:San Salvador – Joya – Suchitoto – La Unión
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit San Salvador and a colonial town called Suchitoto, located at the northeast of the Capital City. It has an amazing landscape and a Suchitlan Lake that you will appreciate. In the evening, transfer to La Union and overnight.
Day 14: La Unión – Gulf Of Fonseca – Potosi – León
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from hotel heading to the municipal dock for a delightful ride on the Fonseca Gulf. You will arrive to Potosi, and after migratory process in Nicaragua frontier, you will head to Leon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel, overnight.
Day 15: León
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the City, La Recolección, El Calvario, and The Cathedral, where Ruben Dario grave is located. In the evening, you will have time for rest and visit the city.
Day 16:León – Masaya – Granada
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Masaya volcano. Transfer to Granada where you ́ll visit the Colonial City. Check in at the hotel and overnight. Day 17 - Granada Departure Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
