~ Amanwella will close on 11 May for seasonal maintenance and will reopen on 12 July 2023. Please note Amangalla will remain open during this period.~ Amanwella is served by Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and is around 2.5-hours drive, alternatively a one hour drive from Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. From the airport (BIA), guests can journey 50 minutes by air taxi to Dickwella, or 70 minutes to Tangalle by helicopter. Amanwella can also arrange car transfers from Colombo.
What To Expect
On Sri Lanka’s sun-drenched south coast, a winding track through lush jungle finally reveals Amanwella and its incomparable seaside setting in Tangalle. Day 1: Arrive in Amanwella, Sri Lanka
Car transfers from Colombo to Amanwella can be arrange or independent transport from Bandaranaike International Airport or Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. Once arrive, Meet and Greet by Amanwella representative.

Day 2: Amanwella Experience
"Close to nature, succumb to the charms of the Sri Lankan scenery of the traditional rice paddy fields. Enjoy the sublime view in a traditional wooden hut on the countryside, pitched in the field and overlooking an area of about one kilometre of rice paddy. Comfortably seated above the fields, savour your culinary wicker basket with your choice of breakfast, lunch or sunset picnic prepared with care by the Chef and his team or your own leisure.

Wind down to the Galgoda Kanda temple dating back to the early arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, with blessings from the monks of the temple (USD 100 Per Couple Inlcuding Taxes & Fees) or your own leisure.
