What To Expect

  • Day 1: Arrive Taipei

    Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at own leisure.

  • Day 2: Taipei - Miaoli - Nantou.

    After breakfast, meet guide at hotel. Proceed the tour as below:

    - Sheng Sing Train Station: Located at the highest point of the western railway trunkline, 402.326 meters above sea level. The train station, completed in 1906, is built entirely of wood in the Japanese huya (lit. Teeth of a Tiger) style, which is supposed to ward off evil spirits. The station is a popular location for wedding photos, and visitors come to walk the abandoned tunnel. The area has also risen as a new destination for cross-country cycling.
    - Long Teng Bridge: Built from brick blocks mixed with glutinous rice and lime in 1907, making it a masterpiece of Taiwan’s railway history.
    - Xitou Nature Education Area (include ticket): It lies in a valley surrounded by mountains on three sides, where the weather is consistently cool all year round. The highest mountain within the area even has an altitude of 2,025 meters. When the sky is clear, you could hike along the trail that leads you all the way to the astronomical observatory on top, where a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
    - Xitou Monster Village: A Japanese style village; a torii, a traditional Japanese gate most often found within a Shinto shrine, stands at the entrance of the village, symbolically marking the transition from the profane to the sacred. Cute Japanese monster statues are all over this small village and red lanterns hang on the eaves, making it a brilliant place for photography. Restaurants and souvenir shops are named after different kind of Japanese monsters.

  • Day 3: Nantou - Taichung.

    After breakfast, meet guide at hotel. Proceed the tour as below:

    - Sun Moon Lake (include cable car): The largest lake in Taiwan. There is an island called “Guang Hua Island” in the middle of the lake. Northern part of the island looks like a sun, southern part looks like a moon, that’s why called Sun Moon Lake.
    - Wen Wu Temple: The temple to enshrine and worship Confucius, Guan Gong and Yue Faye.
    - Ida Shao: A unique locality comprised of its tribal atmosphere, mountain scenery and lake scenery. The shops along the streets are also packed with eye-catching snacks and souvenirs.
    - Dakeng Leisure Farm (Include Entrance Ticket/Outdoor SPA): Surrounded by mountains and covering a large area, the farm boasts a view of the sunrise over a sea of clouds that is not to be missed. The picturesque European-style log cabin, hot and cold spring pools, and abundance of flowers and plants give the impression of a luxurious European scene. Lots of small animals can be seen roaming freely in the farm's meadow, making the farm seem like a tiny mountain utopia

  • Day 4: Taichung - Tainan.

    After breakfast, meet guide at hotel. Proceed the tour as below:

    - Tainan Confucius Temple + Fuzhong Street: More than 300 years of history as a Confucian temple, and it would be safe to say that this place is the heart of Tainan as an ancient capital of culture. One of the must-visit spots in Tainan, across from the temple and through the Pao Gao Stone Arch, you will find myriads of food stands and art studios along the 200-meter long Fuzhong Street. It is a beautiful contrast to the bustling town.
    - Anping Old Street: The first street in Taiwan to be given a name, more than 300 years ago this was the first street built by the Dutch in Anping. It is narrow and windy, full packed with stalls and old buildings.
    - Blueprint Cultural and Creative: A popular spot packed with young people. Here, you can see many wooden artworks, postcards depicting Taiwan’s various streets and temples, and those that feature recorded sound, as well as cell phone cases and handbags printed with Tainan historic landmarks and tile designs. There is even a theater company in charge of organizing a talk show here!
    - Rainbow Village: The only place in Taiwan with lots of colorful graffiti, a street art in Taichung.
    - Feng Jia Night market: One of the famous night market in Taiwan which near by the Feng Chia University.

    - Window on China Theme Park (include ticket): The tallest water flume ride in Asia. It is 12 stories high, and it is very exciting and scary. In addition, there are many different rides in the amusement park such as "Thunder Rain," "Nile beach," Taiwan's first 360 degree spinning "Rocking Boat," cute "Strawberry Ferry Wheel," "Flying Planes," "Jumping Stars," etc.
    - Sanxia Old Street: The best among many old streets in Taiwan in terms of publicity and integrity.It is about 260 meters long and with over 100 old street houses and featuring Baroque style archways architectures.
    - The Great Roots Forestry Spa Resort: Enjoying the natural scenery, take a soothing and skin-pampering soak in the carbonic hot springs at the resort.

    - The Great Roots Forestry Spa Resort (Ecological tour- free participation): The forest is home to more than 4,000 kinds of insects and over 30 kinds of bird, among them the blue-winged pitta-a globally protected species. These entire rare natural wonders wait along with the healthy and relaxing essence of the forest at the resort.
    - Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf: Well known for its beautiful sunsets and its high amount of party boats. The wharf has gone through a major renovation process, building several new buildings including restaurant, hotels, shops, and the Love Bridge of Tamsui completed in 2003.
    - Tamsui Old Street: Located along the riverfront in Tamsui, is a boardwalk like area full of shops, carnival games, restaurants, and snacks.
    - Martyrs’ Shrine: A attraction in fine architecture and scenery, Chinese history and war monuments and the dramatic ceremony of the changing of the honor guard at the shrine.
    -Shilin Night Market: One of the largest and most popular markets in Taiwan with regard to food and also one of the most popular points of Taipei’s night life among visitors.
