Day 1: London
You will walk in Parliament Square lined by trees and statues of well-known statesmen including Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln and Nelson Mandela. Just a stone’s throw away you’ll see the spectacular Westminster Abbey, a royal church and the burial ground for the monarchy and the likes of Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking to name a few.
Just across the road lies the Palace of Westminster, or as it’s more commonly known, The Houses of Parliament. The most iconic part of the palace though is the Elizabeth II Tower, named in honour of our majesty to celebrate her 60th year of reign, and more commonly referred to as Big Ben.
Be sure to have your cameras at the ready to capture the London Eye from across the river as your knowledgeable guide leads you through the heart of Westminster seeing other famous Royal residences such as St. James’s Palace, which includes Clarence House, the London home of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
