Day 1 Antananarivo

Upon arrival in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, you will be welcomed to this vibrant city known for its rich cultural diversity. Situated at an elevation of 1,280 meters, the city enjoys a mild climate with an average temperature of 22°C. Antananarivo is home to a mix of Malagasy, Chinese, Indian, and European communities, making it a fascinating place to explore. After settling in, you can enjoy a relaxing evening in the city.

Day 2 Antananarivo – Morondava – Kirindy

After breakfast, you will take a domestic flight to Morondava, the gateway to the famous Avenue of Baobabs, where massive Baobab trees stand tall along the unpaved Road No. 8. After a scenic stop at the avenue, you will embark on a two-hour (60 km) drive to Kirindy National Park, a dry deciduous forest that is home to rare wildlife. The Kirindy Private Reserve is one of the few places where you may spot the elusive Fossa, Madagascar’s top predator. You will also encounter various species of lemurs, especially nocturnal ones.

Day 3 Kirindy – Morondava

Over the next two days, you will continue exploring the Kirindy National Park and its surrounding areas, observing the diverse wildlife and unique landscapes of western Madagascar. There will be opportunities to spot more lemurs, reptiles, and rare birds. You can also enjoy a leisurely visit to Morondava, a coastal town known for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning sunsets over the Baobab trees.

Day 4 Kirindy – Morondava

Breakfast at hotel and continue exploring the Kirindy National Park and its surrounding areas, observing the diverse wildlife and unique landscapes of western Madagascar. There will be opportunities to spot more lemurs, reptiles, and rare birds. You can also enjoy a leisurely visit to Morondava, a coastal town known for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning sunsets over the Baobab trees.

Day 5 Morondava – Antananarivo – Andasibe

After breakfast, you will visit Betania, a picturesque Vezo fishing village where you can witness the daily life of local fishermen. Later, you will be transferred to Morondava Airport for your flight back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you will begin a scenic drive east to Andasibe/Perinet, one of Madagascar’s most renowned national parks. Andasibe-Mantadia National Park / Analamazaotra Park is famous for its population of Indri, the largest lemur species known for its distinctive and haunting calls. The Park is also home to 13 other lemur species, including the Eastern Woolly Lemur, Diademed Sifaka, Red-bellied Lemur, and Black-and-white Ruffed Lemur. You will also visit Vakona Private Reserve, where you can get up close to lemurs as they jump on your shoulders and eat from your hand.

Day 6 Andasibe

Today, you will continue exploring Andasibe National Park, venturing deeper into the forest to observe more wildlife. This region is rich in biodiversity, with a variety of chameleons, birds, and amphibians. The highlight of the day will be another visit to Vakona Private Reserve, where you will have additional opportunities for close encounters with Madagascar’s famous lemurs.

Day 7 Depart Antananarivo

After breakfast, you will leave Andasibe and make the three-hour (142 km) journey back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Ivato International Airport for your departing flight, concluding your unforgettable journey through Madagascar. Home Sweet Home!
