Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa’s iconic “Mother City”. Meet and transfer to your hotel with Table Mountain as the dramatic backdrop. The rest of the day is free to settle in and explore at your own pace. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed stroll at the V&A Waterfront, browse boutiques, or dine by the harbour with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 2 Cape Town: Cape Peninsula & Cape of Good Hope

Set out on a full-day Cape Peninsula tour along one of the world’s most scenic coastal routes. Travel via Hout Bay and enjoy the dramatic ocean views along Chapman’s Peak Drive (route permitting). Continue into Cape Point Nature Reserve to visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, where rugged cliffs and wild coastal scenery define the landscape. Later, visit Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony before returning to Cape Town.

Day 3 Cape Town: Table Mountain & City Highlights

Enjoy Cape Town’s signature experience with a ride on the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (weather permitting) for panoramic views across the city, coastline and Robben Island. Continue with a city orientation featuring colourful Bo-Kaap, Company’s Garden and key viewpoints around the city. The afternoon is at leisure for optional add-ons such as Robben Island, a Cape Winelands tasting tour, or simply more time at the V&A Waterfront.

Day 4 Cape Town - Kruger Private Reserves (Flight)

Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit, the gateway to the Greater Kruger region. Upon arrival, enjoy a road transfer into your private safari lodge at Karongwe or Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Unlike Kruger National Park, private reserves offer a more exclusive and immersive safari experience. Open safari vehicles are permitted to leave the main roads for closer wildlife encounters, guided by experienced rangers and trackers who communicate with each other to locate sightings. Visitor numbers are limited, ensuring fewer vehicles at each sighting and a more intimate Big Five safari experience.

After check-in and lunch, embark on your first afternoon game drive in search of wildlife as the African bush comes alive towards sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight in the reserve.

Day 5 Kruger Private Reserves

Wake early for a sunrise game drive, the best time for wildlife activity and tracking. The Greater Kruger ecosystem is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) as well as giraffe, zebra, hippo and a wide variety of birdlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and downtime to enjoy the facilities. In the afternoon, head out again for a second game drive, ending with classic sundowner views before dinner.

Day 6 Kruger Private Reserves

Another day immersed in the African wilderness. Morning and afternoon game drives offer fresh chances to spot predators, herds and unique sightings, which change daily with tracking and weather conditions. Between drives, unwind at the lodge with time to relax by the pool, enjoy the bush scenery from the viewing deck, or opt for spa treatments depending on lodge facilities.

Day 7 Kruger Private Reserves - Cape Town (Flight)

Enjoy a final morning game drive (time permitting) followed by breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your return flight to Cape Town and onward international departure.
