Day 1

Vancouver

Upon arrival in Vancouver, you will be transfer to your accommodation. Spend the rest of the day doing your own leisure.

Day 2

Vancouver City Tour

This morning, proceed with 5.5 Hours of Vancouver City Tours.  This tour provides an intriguing view of Vancouver. Canada Place, Robson Street, Sports Venues, the Library, theatre, Chinatown, and old Gastown are all worth a visit. Cross the 450-foot-long Capilano Suspension Bridge over a magnificent canyon to the Treetops Adventure observation structure in the North Shore rainforest. Shop and eat under the evergreens. A visit to Granville Island, with its public market, shops, restaurants, and galleries along the water, is a highlight of this excursion.

Day 3

Vancouver – Whitehorse (Flight)

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Once checked in, you will be given an orientation meeting to explain what to expect during your stay. The rest of the day is at your leisure until the evening when you will be able to observe the Aurora Borealis for the first time.

The Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, is a spectacle of magnetic and electric charges in the air that bathe the sky in a variety of majestic colours. Tonight you will have your first opportunity to see this spectacular display. You will leave the hotel in groups at 22:00 pm and be taken to a prime viewing spot where you will be provided with snacks and hot drinks while you watch. Admire the sublime beauty of this mesmerising spectacle of blues, reds, greens and purples in this idyllic setting while relaxing in a cosy heated cabin or brick tent.  Return to the hotel at approximately 02:30.  

You will have another opportunity for viewing tomorrow evening. Overnight in Whitehorse.

*Please note, passengers arriving later than shuttle bus to the hotel. They will also miss the first night of Aurora Viewing. 

Day 4

Whitehorse

Tour city of Whitehorse, a former gold rush town situated against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. Explore highlights of this town such as Main Street, the White Pass train depot, the Log Skyscraper, the Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, the fish ladders and Schwatka Lake. Each day you will have the opportunity to relax in the warm comfort of the hotel or book an optional activity such as dogsledding, ice fishing, flightseeing or snowshoeing. Each evening of your stay, you will have the opportunity to observe the Aurora Borealis. While waiting for the lights to appear, guests are invited to sit around a roaring campfire, roast marshmallows, drink tea and hot chocolate, chat with local guides, try snowshoeing or sled on a small hill.

Day 5

Whitehorse

Experience 3 hours of the most beautiful wilderness scenery on the frozen Takhini River, a historic section of the Yukon Quest Trail. Learn the basics of mushing and drive your own sled. Or sit back and enjoy the ride while your guide teaches you about the history of mushing and the Yukon. Round trip transfers between Whitehorse hotel and dog sledding location, guide, winter gear (parka, snow pants, warm boots, gloves), hot drinks and snacks after the tour are included in the price.

Maximum 4 sleds per guide.

Day 6

Whiterhorse – Vancouver (Flight)

Your northern experience comes to an end as you check out of your accommodation and are transferred to the Whitehorse Airport for your flight to Vancouver. Transfer to hotel in Vancouver.

Day 7

Depart Vancouver

After breakfast, you have free leisure time. You will be picked up and driven to the airport for your return flights.
