Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Urumqi
Upon arrival, meet and greet by tour guide then transfer to hotel. If there is time available, can visit Erdaoqiao Bazaar food street.
Day 2 Urumqi – Heavenly Lake-Urumqi
After breakfast, proceed to visit Tianshan Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) & Boat Tour (Including Shuttle Bus + Electric Car) Tianchi is an alpine lake in Xinjiang, Northwest China. The name literally means Heavenly Lake and can refer to several lakes in mainland China and Taiwan. This Tianchi lies on the north side of the Bogda Shan range of the Tian Shan, about 30 kilometres south of Fukang and 45 kilometres east of Urumqi.

Day 3 Urumqi - Turpan
After breakfast, proceed to Ancient city of Jiaohe Ruins, Jiaohe or Yarkhoto is a ruined city in the Yarnaz Valley, 10 km west of the city of Turpan in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. It was
the capital of the Tocharian kingdom of Jushi. Continue to Karez irrigation system, Karez System is one of the “Three Great Engineering Projects in Ancient China”. Local people built this water system to bring out underground water for irrigation and daily use, which turned the arid desert into an oasis. Some of them are still in use and you can have a closer look at the ingenious work in Turpan. Transfer to Flamming Mountain, Flaming Mountain is the hottest place in inland China, thus attracts numerous tourists every year. However, it is not just a mountain. It’s a wide area with the magnificent red mountain and many historical sites. Among them, the Flaming Mountain Grand Canyon and Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves are most recommended. Bezeklik Buddha Caves, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves has a history of over 1500 years. It reflects the glory of Gaochang Kingdom in ancient times in Turpan. As one of the largest grotto sites in Xinjiang, Bezeklik Caves is famous for the brightly-colored murals and is a treasure house of Buddhist culture and art. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Turpan.

Day 4 Turpan - Dunhuang
After breakfast, take high speed train to Dunhuang and visit Minghsa Mountain Crescent Moon Spring. Greatly different from other deserts, the Mingsha Mountain has sands which can sing, clean and sweet spring in the desert. Besides, it has been favored by travelers for more than two thousands year. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Dunhuang.

Day 5 Dunhuang
After breakfast, proceed to visit UNESCO Mogao Grottoes, which is famous for its exquisite murals and various sculptures inside the caves, which was built in different dynasties, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Jiayuguan.

Day 6 Dunhuang - Jiuguan
After breakfast, proceed to Jiayuguan Pass, You must have heard of or even already visited the Great Wall of China – a walkable defensive wall of more than 8,000 kilo meters which is connected by hundreds of passes. Well, the Jiayuguan Pass is the greatest, oldest and most legendary pass among all the passes along the Great Wall. Continue to Overhanging Great Wall The Overhanging Great Wall, was built on a steeply sloping valley mouth. When viewed from afar, the wall looks like a magnificent painting hanging over the cliff, which is how it got its name. Because it is very similar in appearance to the Great Wall at Badaling, it is also known as “Western Badaling”. Transfer to Zhangye and pass over the Great Wall. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Jiuguan.

Day 7 Jiuguan - Zhangye
After breakfast, proceed to Rainbow Valley, The mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates, according to the Telegraph. Known for its colorful rock formations. Continue to The Giant Buddha Temple, located in Zhangye downtown, Giant Buddha Temple is a scenic spot that is the most easily reached. It is a composition of several time-honored buildings such as the Giant Buddha Hall, Sutras Exhibition Hall, Earthen Tower, etc. Transfer back to hotel and overnight in Zhangye.

Day 8 Zhangye - Lanzhou
After breakfast, transfer to train station by High Speed train to Lanzhou. Upon arrival, visit Yellow River Bridge the Yellow River is the second-longest river in China, after the Yangtze River, and the sixth-longest river system on Earth at the estimated length of 5,464 km. originating at an elevation above 15,000 feet in the Bayan Har Mountains, it empties into the Bohai Sea. Then to Waterwheel Park, The Waterwheel Park is situated at the west end of Binhe Road, Lanzhou with the Sculpture of the Yellow River Mother to the west, the White Pagoda Mountain Park to the north and the White Cloud Temple to the south, and it’s another highlight along the Yellow River in Lanzhou. Continue to Statue Of Mother Yellow River ) is located in the middle of Binhe Road on the south bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou City and on the north side of Xiaoxihu Park. Transfer to hotel and
overnight in Lanzhou.
