Day 1 St-Léger-sur-Dheune – Chagny – Fragnes
Your Burgundian river cruise begins in St-Léger-sur-Dheune, where you’ll be welcomed by your private crew and dedicated guide. Toast the start of your journey with a chilled glass of champagne before settling into your elegant cabin. Later, savor your first gourmet dining experience onboard. Unwind under the stars—your adventure has officially begun.
Day 2 Chagny
As morning unfolds, Fleur de Lys sets sail on her journey. Relax on the front deck, taking in the picturesque waterways and serene atmosphere. Later, embark on a scenic drive along the renowned Route des Grands Crus, discovering the esteemed vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. Visit charming wineries and indulge in their finest selections before returning to the barge for a lavish dinner onboard.
Day 3 Fragnes
On the third day, cruise along the final stretch of the Canal du Centre, arriving in Fragnes. After lunch, consider visiting the 14th-century Château de Germolles, where the estate’s passionate owner will guide you on a private tour. In the evening, savor a delightful dinner at a charming local restaurant before returning to Fleur de Lys for a restful night.
Day 4 St Jean De Losne
As we gently navigate through the breathtaking valley of the River Saône, we arrive in Seurre. This afternoon, explore Beaune with a private wine tasting or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the historic old town. Tonight, we moor in St-Jean-de-Losne, the heart of France’s barging culture. Take a stroll through the picturesque port before returning to the barge for refreshing cocktails and a delightful French dinner onboard.
Day 5 Longecourt
This morning, as the barge enters the Burgundy Canal, you may choose to take a leisurely walk or cycle along the scenic towpath. After lunch, visit Clos de Vougeot, a historic winery founded in the 12th century by the monks of Cîteaux. Explore its fascinating cellar and ancient winemaking traditions before enjoying a local tasting. Later, rejoin the barge near Longecourt and savor a delicious dinner onboard.
Day 6 Dijon
Start your day with a delightful breakfast onboard before heading to Dijon. Explore the historic Palace of the Dukes or browse the renowned Maille mustard shop. Enjoy lunch at a charming café before returning to Fleur de Lys in the afternoon.
