This morning, our expert guide will help you to explore the treasures of Athens during your morning sightseeing tour. Pass by the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrians Arch, the Parliament and the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University the National  Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Your tour will be followed by a visit to Acropolis, the eternal symbol of democracy, education and inspiration. Your tour will end with the visit to the impressive Acropolis Museum (entrance fees included). Afternoon at leisure.

After breakfast our bus will pick you up for a special day tour in Delphi (entrance fees included) which had the most famous oracle of ancient Greece and was regarded as the center of the world. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythius. You will be astonished by Treasury of the Athenians, the Theatre, the Stadium and the Museum with the famous statue of Antinoos and the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer dated from 475 B.C and the famous athlete Aghias. We will have our lunch in the modern and picturesque village of Delphi and return to Athens late in the evening.

Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, (short stop). Drive to Nauplion through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. Depart to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets. Visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs e.t.c. Lunch in Mycenae and return to Athens by the National Road.

After breakfast, free at leisure until pickup and transfer to Lavrion Port, Athens for embarkation to Iconic Aegean cruise for 3 nights. Departure at 13h00. Your cruise ship is reading for boarding. We leave the historic and classical capital of Greece and set sail for our first destination, the beautiful island of Mykonos, also known as the Island of the Winds. Take an evening stroll through the atmospheric Old Town with its immaculate whitewashed houses, winding alleys, lovely little churches and delightful restaurants at the water’s edge. You will undoubtedly recognise the picture postcard white windmills sitting side by side, overlooking the sea.

We arrive in the colourful Turkish beach town of Kusadasi in the morning. This is the coastal gateway to the Hellenistic ruins of Ephesus, famed for one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis. Patmos, one of northernmost and smallest islands in the Dodecanese has a charm all of its own. It is most famous for being where the Book of Revelations was written, and the location of John the Baptist’s vision, which is detailed in the text.

Welcome to Crete, Greece’s largest island, a place of mystery, myths and legends. There’s the chance to take in the bustling city of Heraklion and some of Crete’s extraordinary archaeology and history. You can learn more of the art and creativity of the Minoans. Our odyssey continues as we spend an evening in Santorini, whose stunning face is instantly recognizable across the world. We’re sure she will take your breath away, with her soaring landscapes, clusters of whitewashed houses in the capital, Fira, and, of course, the iconic blue-domed church at Oia. Don’t forget to try one of the many restaurants jostling for position at the edge of the caldera.

We return to the capital after a whirlwind few days of adventure and discovery  06:00. Your cruise ends with breakfast this morning. Pickup and transfer to airport for departure back to home.
