Depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and arrive in Athens International Airport (ATH). Upon arrival, being pickup and transfer to hotel, check-in and free at leisure on your own. Overnight in Athens

Breakfast at hotel and start the tour for Half Day Athens Sightseeing Tour SIC. We begin with a city drive to discover the main points of interest in Athens – both ancient and modern. You will visit Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Constitution Square, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the National Gardens, the Presidential Residence and the Olympic Stadium – site of the first Olympic Games. On the natural fortress of the Acropolis, reinforced by the hand of man, stand the Propylaea, the temple of the Winged Victory, Erechtheion with the Porch of the Caryatids and, towering over all, and the majestic Parthenon. A winding path leads to the treasure of antiquity. Visible are the relics of the civilization of which we are the proud inheritors. A few meters away from the Acropolis entrance and the Ancient Theatre of Dionysos, the New Acropolis Museum, built on pedestrian walkway of Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, looks like hanging between the past and the present of Athens. After tour ends, return back to hotel and free at leisure on your own. In the evening, ready for Athens by Night SIC tour, Your evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the City Center and at the slope of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and photo the illuminated Acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you at a Typical Greek Tavern where you will enjoy your dinner (dinks are not included) following a floor show with live music and Greek Folk Dances in traditional costumes.

Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia region, pass by the towns of Thebes, Levadia and via the picturesque village of Arachova, arrive in Delphi and visit the Archaeological Site. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of the Meteora, those gigantic rocks that rise steep from the plain of Thessaly. (Dinner and overnight)

Visit the Meteora: perched on top of huge rocks, which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Depart from Kalambaka, drive through the striking plain of Thessaly and the Valley of Tempi, and admire the gigantic figure of Mount Olympos, the highest mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods in Greek Mythology. Arrival at Thessaloniki, the second largest and the most vibrant city in Greece. (Dinner and overnight)

In the morning visit the city that throughout the era of the Byzantine Empire was the “co-reigning” city, second in population and prestige only to Constantinople. Visit unique monuments and feel the glorious Byzantine past in some of the oldest and most characteristic churches of the Christian world as well as in the Museum of Byzantine Culture, awarded with the Council of Europe’s Museum Prize for the year 2005. Rest of the day free, to enjoy time in the lively center of the city. (Dinner and overnight)

Depart in the morning for a unique approach to historical Macedonia. First stop at picturesque Edessa where we see the town’s famous landmark, the Waterfalls. Then proceed to Naoussa, to a site of exceptional beauty and importance: Aristotle’s School, the picturesque site where the great philosopher taught ‘the doctrines of morals and politics’ to Alexander the Great and the Macedonian youth. Then drive to Vergina (ancient Aigai), to live the experience of a visit to the unique Museum, created in the Great Tumulus covering the royal tombs of Macedonia. See the astonishing findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, Alexander’s father, and feel the thrill of the greatest discovery of the 20th century. In only a few miles away is Veria (Biblical Beroea) to visit Saint Paul’s Bema, and then stroll through the old Jewish neighborhood and the colourful market area. A walk in a city where past is present and around. Return to Thessaloniki. (Dinner and overnight)

Drive to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. See the exquisite floor mosaics of the 4th century B.C. villas, in situ as well as in the new Museum. Then proceed and visit the Archaeological Park of Dion (sacred city of the Macedonians, at the foot of mountain Olympos). After the visit we shall start driving south and through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (see the Leonidas’ Monument) and Thebes, arrive in Athens late in the afternoon.

A day trip to Argolis is a perfect escape from Athens. We depart in the morning heading south, and enter the region of Peloponnese as we pass from the Corinth Canal. We make a short stop to admire and make photos of this great canal that connects the Aegean and Ionian seas. We continue to Mycenae, which is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. Mycenae was described as the ‘City rich in Gold’ in Homer’s epic poem Iliad. Such descriptions were matched once the Golden Mask of Agamemnon was discovered among many other treasures. Enter the ancient town from the Lion Gate and walk up to Agamemnon`s Royal Palace, as your guide explains the history and mythology of the site. Our next stop is Nafplio, the first capital of the modern Greek state. We have lunch (optional) at a local restaurant and then stroll around the picturesque town, to see the Syntagma Square, the primary Parliament House of Greece and numerous other historic buildings. Following the same route, we return to Athens and your hotel filled with images and memories from the rich Argolis region.

Departure at 13h00. Your cruise Celestyal Cruise ship is reading for boarding. We leave the historic and classical capital of Greece and set sail for our first destination, the beautiful island of Mykonos, also known as the Island of the Winds. Take an evening stroll through the atmospheric Old Town with its immaculate whitewashed houses, winding alleys, lovely little churches and delightful restaurants at the water’s edge. You will undoubtedly recognise the picture postcard white windmills sitting side by side, overlooking the sea.

We arrive in the colourful Turkish beach town of Kusadasi in the morning. This is the coastal gateway to the Hellenistic ruins of Ephesus, famed for one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis. Patmos, one of northernmost and smallest islands in the Dodecanese has a charm all of its own. It is most famous for being where the Book of Revelations was written, and the location of John the Baptist’s vision, which is detailed in the text.

Welcome to Crete, Greece’s largest island, a place of mystery, myths and legends. There’s the chance to take in the bustling city of Heraklion and some of Crete’s extraordinary archaeology and history. You can learn more of the art and creativity of the Minoans. Our odyssey continues as we spend an evening in Santorini, whose stunning face is instantly recognisable across the world. We’re sure she will take your breath away, with her soaring landscapes, clusters of whitewashed houses in the capital, Fira, and, of course, the iconic blue-domed church at Oia. Don’t forget to try one of the many restaurants jostling for position at the edge of the caldera.

Arrive Lavrion Port at 6am. We return to the capital after a whirlwind few days of adventure and discovery. Your cruise ends with breakfast this morning. After cruise tour ends, transfer to airport for departing back to Kuala Lumpur.
