Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Reykjavik
Arrival at Keflavík airport and transferred to the Reykjavík city centre hotel.
Day 2 Golden Circle and South Shore
Start your day with breakfast before departing Reykjavík. Visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO site, then explore the geothermal wonders of Geysir and the stunning Gullfoss waterfall. In Laugarvatn, enjoy freshly baked Icelandic rye bread from a geothermal bakery. Drive along the scenic South Shore, passing farms and volcanoes, with stops at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. Walk on the black sand of Reynisfjara beach, known for its dramatic rock formations and seabirds. End the day in Vík, where the summer sun paints the landscape in golden hues.

Day 3 Vatnajokull National Park – Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon - Walk under Midnight Sun
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Travel through the Katla UNESCO Geopark, shaped by centuries of eruptions, and visit Reynisfjara black sand beach, known for its basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves. Continue to the Lakagígar region and cross the vast Eldhraun lava field, formed during the historic Laki eruption. Enter Vatnajökull National Park, home to Europe’s largest glacier and the volcano Öræfajökull, whose 1362 eruption once devastated the region. Visit the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon for a boat tour among floating icebergs, then stop at nearby Diamond Beach, where icebergs rest on black sand. Explore the scenic Skaftafell area before returning to Vík village. In the evening, meet locals at Smiðjan Brugghús for a brewery visit, beer tasting, and Icelandic-style barbecue dinner. End the day with a guided night walk under the magical midnight sun. Dinner and overnight in the Vík area.

Day 4 Hveragerdi - Blue Lagoon - Reyjavik
After breakfast, journey back along the scenic South Coast. Stop in Hveragerði, known as “The Flower Village” for its geothermal greenhouses. Visit a horse farm to meet friendly Icelandic horses, learn about their history, and enjoy traditional farm refreshments. Drive along the southern coast and through the striking landscapes of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Relax in the famous Blue Lagoon’s warm, mineral-rich waters before returning to Reykjavík. Enjoy an open evening in the city. Overnight in Reykjavík.
