Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Tunis - Sidi Bou Said – Tunis

Upon arrival at Tunis airport,  met our local representative and proceed to the beautiful village of Sidi Bou Said before checking in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at at your own leisure.

Enjoy a buffet dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Tunis - Bardo - Medina - Carthage – Sousse

After breakfast, visit the Bardo Museum in Tunis, followed by a short orientation tour on foot of the old Medina, which is full of monuments from both the Arab and Turkish periods. Have lunch before continuing to the site of ancient Carthage, including the Byrsa Hill and the Archaeological Park centered on the Antonine Baths.

After our visits, depart for the coastal town of Sousse. Upon arrival, check in at our hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and explore at your own leisure.

Day 3 Sousse – El Jem – Matmata – Douz

After breakfast, head to El Jem to visit the largest Roman Amphitheater in North Africa and explore the remains of the Roman villas in the town. Then proceed to Matmata, known for its association with Star Wars. Here, visit one of the dwelling caves where Star Wars was filmed.

After our visit, have lunch before driving to the town of Douz and have some time to explore the Desert of Douz before checking in at the hotel.

Day 4 Douz – Chott El Jerid – Tozeur

After breakfast, drive across the Chott El Jerid, the Great Salt Lake. Upon arrival in Tozeur, check in at the hotel and have lunch at the hotel restaurant. Have some leisure time to explore this very interesting and unique town.

Day 5 Tozeur – Jelma – Kairouan

After breakfast, proceed to the Mountain Oasis of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides. In Chebika, take a walk to explore the Berber village, waterfalls, and the spring of water before continuing to the picturesque village of Tamerza.

After lunch in the village of Jelma, continue north to Kairouan. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and later in the afternoon, go for a guided walking tour through the workshops, bakeries, magnificent houses, and religious monuments in Kairouan’s old town. Also have the opportunity to discover the carpet handicraft of Kairouan, an exclusive feminine work.

Day 6 Kairouan – Rakkada – Hammamet

After breakfast, spend the morning in the holy town of Kairouan. Visit the Great Mosque of Sidi Okba, the Three-Door Mosque, the Mausoleum of Sidi Essahib, the shrine and mosque, the Aghalabite water pools from the 9th century, and the Medina. Also visit the Museum of Islamic Art in Rakkada.

Then have lunch before proceeding to the town of Hammamet. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and have the rest of the day to explore Hammamet at your own leisure.
